Chastity Ross October 25, 2012 Trifles The play Trifles, written by Susan Glaspell was based on true events. As a young reporter, Glaspell covered a murder case in a small town in Iowa. Years later, she crafted a short play divert by her experiences and observations. The play is ab reveal a man named tail assembly Wright who was found dead with a rope some his get hold while his wife laid next to him sleep. His wife, Minnie Wright who whitethorn hold back killed him claims that she doesnt know what happened. During the course of reading the play, I let on many things ab place Minnie Wrights personality and how she lived her life. The findings indicate that Minnie may have killed her husband out of revenge. The play begins with Mr. unhurt chatter the sheriff and the cou nty attorney the events that led to him founding Mr. Wright dead upstairs in the bedroom. When Mr. Hale first arrived at the home of John and Minnie Wright, he found Mrs. Wright sitting in a rocker. She was rocking back and out pleating her apron in her hand with a black letter look on her face. Mr. Hale asked to contact John just she told him, No. He asked her, Why couldnt he entrance Mr. Wright? Mrs. Wright told him that John was dead and that he died from having a rope close to his neck. As the play continues; Mr. and Mrs. Hale, the sheriff and his wife, and the county attorney all are in the house looking for evidence to find out what rattle happened to Mr. Wright. They searched the kitchen first but didnt find anything that would point to a motive there. However, they did found Mrs. Wright not to be such a good housekeeper. She had dirty towels and starting line that was left out of the bread box. The table top was also half cleaned and messy.
